A world of magic, one piece at a time...

My Story

Born and raised in Normandy, France, I have been creating craft items for most of my life. It simply makes me happy to sew, knit, embroider, paint, draw, and be busy with any new craft I can discover. My maternal grand-mother taught me how to knit and crochet when I was 8; my paternal grand-mother owned a Singer sewing machine; while I was too young at that time to use it, I loved the feeling of the wood and the magic of the wheel that made the needle go up and down; my mother knitted and sewed as well; she made beautiful dresses for my sister and me, and I was mesmerized by her sewing notions box where she kept her threads, buttons, ribbons and scissors. As a child and later as a teenager, I made many items, either in yarn, fabric or embroidery, that I sold or offered for auctions to schools and local non-profits.

I bought my first sewing machine when my older daughter was born in 1981; fifteen years  and dozens of clothing items later, a friend of mine introduced me to quilting. After I put together the first pieces of my first quilt, I never looked back. For more than twenty years now, I have created many quilts and patterns, and it is a pleasure to share my passion and techniques.
